Fachinal's players were relieved. The supporters of Fachinal booed when WayneTech Football Club was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ademar Vergílio didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 16th minute, Róbson da Silva left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Fachinal fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. With an all-out effort, WayneTech Football Club's César Pinheiro threw himself towards the right post 20 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Christiano Valladares, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Nelson Eger showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dráusio Machado, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. In the 24th match minute, WayneTech Football Club was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luiz Passos to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, Fachinal's Róbson da Silva got a free kick in the 30th minute. Nelson Eger took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ruy Custódio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Christiano Valladares in the 38th minute of play forced Fachinal's goalkeeper César Pinheiro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 39th match minute, Fachinal was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rony Figueiredo to maneuver through the defense. Christiano Valladares received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. César Pinheiro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 44th minute, Róbson da Silva hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.

Fachinal's César Pinheiro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edvaldo Nogueira in the 61st minute of play. Christiano Valladares struck a weak shot in the 64th minute. César Pinheiro didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. César Pinheiro was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 77th minute, Ruy Custódio ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Nelson Eger was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-2. The supporters of WayneTech Football Club booed when Fachinal was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 79 match minutes in a wonderful position. Víktor Monteiro didn't get a good kick on the ball. César Pinheiro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Christiano Valladares in the 81st minute of the match. In the 83rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Fachinal's goalkeeper César Pinheiro, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Benê Rosado fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without César Pinheiro having to interfere. After having played for 87 minutes, Benê Rosado managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. WayneTech Football Club's supporters crossed their fingers, but Benê Rosado was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. César Pinheiro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Christiano Valladares in the 88th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dráusio Machado in the 93rd minute of play forced WayneTech Football Club's goalkeeper Nelson Eger to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
