Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Laércio Zilles took the kick off in the first half of the match. Nuno Proença came out of the goal in the 3rd minute to try and stop a shot by Aracruz SC's Alex Quintal. But to his dismay, Alex Quintal quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Laércio Zilles in the 10th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Nuno Proença prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Leonardo Alcântara sent away a hard shot on goal in the 11th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Enéas Mello fell near the penalty area in the 14th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Xixebal FC's protests and gave Enéas Mello a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Aracruz SC getting a freekick after 19 minutes play. Rafael de Medeiros hit a great ball. In the 23rd minute, Aracruz SC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Natã Linhares fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Hélio Coelho hit a great ball. 35 minutes into the match, Laércio Zilles had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Nuno Proença. Xixebal FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Laércio Zilles was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-4. When the match clock showed 41 minutes, the score became 0-5 when Laércio Zilles sped through Xixebal FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Nuno Proença. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-5 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Leonardo Alcântara made a kick off. The crowd rose to their feet as Hélio Coelho kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Nuno Proença. That made the score 0-6 in the 52 minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Laércio Zilles in the 58th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Nuno Proença prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When Rafael de Medeiros came up free with the goalie in the 59th minute, the Aracruz SC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rafael de Medeiros couldn't finish the play. Erivaldo Peixoto struck a weak shot in the 60th minute. Nuno Proença didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Aracruz SC. Natã Linhares received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. Davi Maranhense tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 78 played minutes Aracruz SC got a freekick which was hit by Vinícius de Brito. Jorge Dracena hit a great freekick 83 minutes into the match. Aracruz SC's Davi Maranhense played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Enéas Mello in the 84th minute of play. If Leonardo Alcântara had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some careless play in the Aracruz SC defense, Leonardo Alcântara kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Davi Maranhense. The Aracruz SC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Davi Maranhense should have stopped the shot. Aracruz SC's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
