Jacone's supporters rose to their feet, but Dedê Peres was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Nuno Proença breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Daniel Montenegro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 8th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 14th minute, Ernani Schmidt hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Paulão Trancoso sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Anísio Couto showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Natã Linhares, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. After 23 minutes, Renan Brasil mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Jacone and the Xixebal FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 24 played minutes, Xixebal FC's Enéas Mello shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Anísio Couto came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Xixebal FC reached it. Anísio Couto showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Natã Linhares, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute.
