Monjolo's Gildo Sabóia played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Albertino Britto in the 8th minute of play. Aleandro Cardozo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Renato Rosado, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Luís Paulo Damião blasted a shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Aleandro Cardozo having to make a save. The crowd rose to their feet as Monjolo's Renato Rosado slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Aleandro Cardozo. That made the score 1-0 after 14 minutes of play. Gildo Sabóia didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Washington Jacinto went, in the 20th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. If Washington Jacinto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gildo Sabóia took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Washington Jacinto, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 34th minute, Albertino Britto managed to get in a good position for a shot. Lombardia EC's supporters rose to their feet, but Albertino Britto was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gildo Sabóia breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Washington Jacinto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Gildo Sabóia tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Albertino Britto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gildo Sabóia having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Monjolo's zone, Albertino Britto stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gildo Sabóia came out of the goal and Albertino Britto tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The wind increased when Renato Rosado made the kick off in the second half. When Albertino Britto, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 53 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Gildo Sabóia was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. Luís Paulo Damião sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Aleandro Cardozo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Renato Rosado, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. Monjolo's defense didn't have a chance, in the 61st minute, when Albertino Britto scored to the left of an out of position Gildo Sabóia, making the score, 1-2. Albertino Britto's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Gildo Sabóia firmly grabbed it by the left post. In the 69thth minute of the game Luís Paulo Damião who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Lombardia EC's Aleandro Cardozo was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. If Washington Jacinto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 73rd match minute, Lombardia EC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Albertino Britto to maneuver through the defense. Aleandro Cardozo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Renato Rosado, who was totally free with the ball in the 77th minute. Luís Paulo Damião fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aleandro Cardozo having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Renato Rosado in the 82nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Aleandro Cardozo saved Lombardia EC from getting behind. In the 86thth minute of the game Luís Paulo Damião who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Lombardia EC's Aleandro Cardozo was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 88 minutes into the game, Osvaldinho Duarte was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Monjolo's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Lombardia EC the free kick. Lombardia EC's Caio Corrêa shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 89th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Gildo Sabóia but with some difficulty. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Renato Rosado during the 91st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 92 played minutes Monjolo got a freekick which was hit by Renato Rosado. In the 94th minute, Osvaldinho Duarte hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Lombardia EC had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
