After the first half Ibitiguira were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Digo da Rocha stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Ibitiguira's Aluísio Pinho played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Charles de Toledo in the 55th minute of play. Charles de Toledo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 63rdth minute of the game Dário Gerber who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ibitiguira's Aluísio Pinho was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Arnaldo Berger during the 64th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Tiago Cordeiro's late challenge caught a SC Bucarest's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Tiago Cordeiro helped the player get up and apologised. 93 minutes into the game, one of SC Bucarest:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. After 98 played minutes Ibitiguira got a freekick which was hit by Jerônimo Dracena.
