Landim's Douglas Perez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Digo da Rocha in the 16th minute of play. In the 18th minute, Ivo Velloso left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Ibitiguira fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Digo da Rocha in the 28th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Douglas Perez prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 29th minute Digo da Rocha shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Douglas Perez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Landim's Marco Negri got a free kick in the 30th minute. Ivo Velloso sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Ivo Velloso came up free with the goalie in the 35th minute, the Ibitiguira fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ivo Velloso couldn't finish the play. Landim's Hugo Berger got a good chance for a goal in the 39th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 41st minute the ball was on its way in behind Ibitiguira's goalkeeper Aluísio Pinho, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Ivo Velloso sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Tiago Cordeiro's late challenge caught a Landim's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Tiago Cordeiro helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Ibitiguira getting a freekick after 48 minutes play. Tiago Cordeiro hit a great ball. Hugo Berger fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 51st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aluísio Pinho having to interfere. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

If Ivo Velloso had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Landim's Marcos Romero in the 61st minute got a chance for a shot 61st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Ibitiguira's goalie prevented a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ivo Velloso in the 64th minute of play forced Landim's goalkeeper Douglas Perez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Douglas Perez took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Digo da Rocha, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Digo da Rocha fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Douglas Perez having to interfere. If Digo da Rocha had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Marco Negri charged in rather forcefully in the 81st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Marco Negri the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 81 played minutes Landim got a freekick which was hit by Marco Negri. In the 92nd minute Ibitiguira were awarded a corner. Tiago Cordeiro went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner led Ibitiguira's Tiago Cordeiro to fire away a dangerous shot which Douglas Perez despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Digo da Rocha received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 97th minute. Douglas Perez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Douglas Perez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Digo da Rocha in the 99th minute of play. 101 minutes into the match, Ibitiguira's Tiago Cordeiro broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Ibitiguira's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
