With an extended leg and a bit of luck João Adolfo Reis prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The supporters of Jatahy AD booed when Alho EC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aníbal Vale didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Alho EC's zone, Eugênio Gonçalves stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. João Adolfo Reis came out of the goal and Eugênio Gonçalves tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 24th minute Mané Tande shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but João Adolfo Reis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Hudson Baiano received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Betão Sena came out and tried to block the shot, but Hudson Baiano slotted it home off the left post making it 2-0 in the 26th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mané Tande in the 35th minute of play forced Alho EC's goalkeeper João Adolfo Reis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mané Tande took the ball and in the 38 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised João Adolfo Reis. João Adolfo Reis dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. Alho EC's João Adolfo Reis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mané Tande in the 42nd minute of play. João Adolfo Reis stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Mané Tande's shot from short distance in the 47th minute. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

Matheus Gerber charged in rather forcefully in the 53rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Matheus Gerber the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 53 played minutes Jatahy AD got a freekick which was hit by Matheus Gerber. Jatahy AD's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Hudson Baiano was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-1. Mané Tande succeeded in the game's 78th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 3-2. Mané Tande received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Jatahy AD's Mané Tande got a good chance for a goal in the 95th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
