Maracaja SC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Inocencia SS the free kick. After a rather tough play, Maracaja SC's Raí Maranhense got a free kick in the 3rd minute. Valério Goiano in the 6thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Cipriano Vieira, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Chico Matorin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience thought a goal was coming when Valério Goiano got free with Cipriano Vieira in the 17th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 18th minute, Gilvan Vinhas reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Cipriano Vieira. The goal made the score 1-0. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Chico Matorin in the 27th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Sabino Braga saved Inocencia SS from getting behind. In the 32nd minute, Maracaja SC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Gilvan Vinhas fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. 34 minutes into the match, Maracaja SC's goal looked a bit too open when Gilvan Vinhas came free, but Cipriano Vieira reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Sílvio Luís Brasil sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 42nd minute, Rodrigo Tande hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Sílvio Luís Brasil recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 44th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Chico Matorin made the kick off in the second half. Cipriano Vieira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gilvan Vinhas in the 53rd minute of play. 57 minutes into the match, Inocencia SS's goalkeeper Sabino Braga had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Sílvio Luís Brasil. Jefferson Lopez hit a great freekick 58 minutes into the match. In the 59th minute, Chico Matorin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 64 minutes, Erik Magalhães mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Inocencia SS and the Maracaja SC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Erik Magalhães hit a great freekick 64 minutes into the match. Chico Matorin received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Sabino Braga came out and tried to block the shot, but Chico Matorin slotted it home off the left post making it 1-1 in the 65th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 68th minute, Sílvio Luís Brasil managed to get in a good position for a shot. Maracaja SC's supporters rose to their feet, but Sílvio Luís Brasil was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Sabino Braga breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Gilvan Vinhas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Chico Matorin struck a weak shot in the 79th minute. Sabino Braga didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Maracaja SC. Sílvio Luís Brasil sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 91st minute, Sílvio Luís Brasil ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Sabino Braga was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. 95 minutes into the match, Inocencia SS's goal looked a bit too open when Chico Matorin came free, but Sabino Braga reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Maracaja SC had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
