The supporters of Erecatu booed when RedBulls FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luiz Paulo Monteiro didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Leonardo das Neves had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 29th minute Tales Arruda shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pedro Paulo Ferreira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience cheered loudly when Rony Lira's long shot in the 66th minute became 1-4 when the ball went to the left of and passed Pedro Paulo Ferreira. 69 minutes into the game, RedBulls FC's Rony Lira nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Pedro Paulo Ferreira made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-5. When the match clock showed 74 minutes, the score became 1-6 when Rony Lira sped through Erecatu's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Pedro Paulo Ferreira.
