Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Pedro Augusto da Mata made the kick off which started today's match. In the 5th minute Pedro Augusto da Mata shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dito Berger saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some careless play in the Barrenta defense, Telmo Couto kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Dito Berger. The Barrenta fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Dito Berger should have stopped the shot. In the 15th minute, Telmo Couto hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Chiquinho Prata came up free with the goalie in the 19th minute, the Barrenta fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Chiquinho Prata couldn't finish the play. Chiquinho Prata sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Dito Berger stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Telmo Couto's shot from short distance in the 23rd minute. After 28 played minutes Tefe got a freekick which was hit by Gabriel Miranda. Barrenta's Egídio Salgado was substituted for Gilmar Vinhas. Chiquinho Prata sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Dito Berger showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pedro Augusto da Mata in the 37th minute of the match. If Chiquinho Prata had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Telmo Couto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Norberto Berger hit a great freekick 47 minutes into the match.

The wind increased when Chiquinho Prata made the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute, Egídio Salgado hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Pedro Augusto da Mata struck a weak shot in the 56th minute. Dito Berger didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Tefe. After 57 played minutes Barrenta got a freekick which was hit by Magno Massa. Franklin Ramalho lost his temper 60 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. After 59 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Barrenta! Tefe's Laerte Arce got a good chance for a goal in the 69th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 70th minute, Chiquinho Prata managed to get in a good position for a shot. Barrenta's supporters rose to their feet, but Chiquinho Prata was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Dida de Godoi breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Through an outstanding action, after 75 minutes, Dito Berger successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. In the 79th match minute, Tefe was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Deivid Alvarenga to maneuver through the defense. Chiquinho Prata received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. Dida de Godoi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Dida de Godoi prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Rui Novaes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 97th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. When the referee blew the final whistle jeers and boos were heard from the home team's supporters. They were angered to see Barrenta lose a match they had controlled from the kick-off.
