José Pedro Tande breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 25 played minutes E.C. ENGINEERING got a freekick which was hit by Valdemar Damião. In the 27th minute, Christian Alvarenga ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. José Pedro Tande was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. In the 30th minute, Didi Lira hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The long shot by Dráusio Severo in the 31st minute really tested José Pedro Tande's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. 33 minutes into the game, Sariema's Christian Alvarenga nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. José Pedro Tande made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-0. In the 38th minute the ball was on its way in behind Sariema's goalkeeper Jailson Tasso, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Jailson Tasso stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Aírton Recife's shot from short distance in the 40th minute. 41 minutes into the game, Glauco Arruda recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of José Pedro Tande. Glauco Arruda showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 4-0. José Maria Alves sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 48th minute Mauro Miranda shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but José Pedro Tande saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 4-0.

E.C. ENGINEERING's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Christian Alvarenga was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 5-0. In the 78th minute Aírton Recife shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jailson Tasso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Aírton Recife sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal.
