Spectators: 5100 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 100) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Túlio Paraibano started the match with the kick off. 6 minutes into the match, Silver Star's goal looked a bit too open when Henrique Macedo came free, but Osman Şölen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 9th minute William Bertassi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Maurinho Capixaba saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Marajá do Sena A.C.'s zone, Túlio Paraibano stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Maurinho Capixaba came out of the goal and Túlio Paraibano tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Jeremias Montenegro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 12th minute. Osman Şölen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Marajá do Sena A.C.'s Maurinho Capixaba played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by William Bertassi in the 17th minute of play. In the 18th match minute, Silver Star was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marcelo Mota to maneuver through the defense. 23 minutes into the game, Silver Star's Túlio Paraibano nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Maurinho Capixaba made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. When Túlio Paraibano fell near the penalty area in the 27th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Silver Star's protests and gave Túlio Paraibano a yellow card for diving instead. In the 27th minute, Túlio Paraibano hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, Marajá do Sena A.C.'s Jorginho Vinhas got a free kick in the 31st minute. In the 33rd minute Dimitris Pegiadis managed to get in a great position but fired away a sharp shot that went outside the goal on the goalie's right hand side. It could just as well have been a goal. Osman Şölen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jeremias Montenegro, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. 47 minutes into the match, Marajá do Sena A.C.'s Henrique Macedo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Osman Şölen narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The supporters of Marajá do Sena A.C. booed when Silver Star was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 51 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vágner Souza didn't get a good kick on the ball. William Bertassi might have been able to make a better finish in the 55th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Maurinho Capixaba. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. William Bertassi ran back to his position shaking his head. Maurinho Capixaba took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marcelo Mota, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 70th minute, William Bertassi got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Betinho Vale kicked well hit freekick during the 72nd minute of the match. In the 73rd minute, Jorginho Vinhas sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Silver Star's Osman Şölen didn't even have to move. After a defensive mix-up in Silver Star's zone, Henrique Macedo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Osman Şölen came out of the goal and Henrique Macedo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 77 minutes into the match, Marajá do Sena A.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when William Bertassi came free, but Maurinho Capixaba reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Tomé Brito hit a great freekick 78 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Túlio Paraibano in the 82nd minute of play forced Marajá do Sena A.C.'s goalkeeper Maurinho Capixaba to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Ian Pires fell near the penalty area in the 83rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Marajá do Sena A.C.'s protests and gave Ian Pires a yellow card for diving instead. Ian Pires kicked well hit freekick during the 83rd minute of the match. After having played for 86 minutes, Túlio Paraibano managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Silver Star's supporters crossed their fingers, but Túlio Paraibano was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Jorginho Vinhas shot the penalty kick by force right in the crossbar. No goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers William Bertassi in the 96th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Maurinho Capixaba saved Marajá do Sena A.C. from getting behind. Betinho Vale kicked well hit freekick during the 97th minute of the match.
