Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Nildo Lago made the kick off and thus started the match. In the 3rd minute, Geovanni Favoretto hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 5 minutes into the match, PILOTS's goal looked a bit too open when Raimundo Quirino came free, but Luizinho da Silveira reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Catadupas's Nildo Lago got a good chance for a goal in the 7th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. PILOTS's Luizinho da Silveira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Raimundo Quirino in the 9th minute of play. Dorian Fernandes came free with the goalkeeper in the 17th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Hernani Tróia could save by the left post. After 18 played minutes Catadupas got a freekick which was hit by César Pires. After a defensive mix-up in Catadupas's zone, Toninho de Andrade stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Hernani Tróia came out of the goal and Toninho de Andrade tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Hernani Tróia took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Geovanni Favoretto, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 24 minutes of play PILOTS's Geovanni Favoretto was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. Geovanni Favoretto kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in PILOTS's zone, Raimundo Quirino stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Luizinho da Silveira came out of the goal and Raimundo Quirino tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Nildo Lago received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Luizinho da Silveira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Osvaldo Alves hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. In the 47th minute, PILOTS's Dorian Fernandes ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Hernani Tróia. Hernani Tróia yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Dorian Fernandes made a kick off. Hernani Tróia took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dorian Fernandes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 65 played minutes Catadupas got a freekick which was hit by Nildo Lago. An unexpectedly hard shot by Raimundo Quirino in the 72nd minute of play forced PILOTS's goalkeeper Luizinho da Silveira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 75th minute of the match César Pires shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Luizinho da Silveira showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After a rather tough play, Catadupas's Raimundo Quirino got a free kick in the 84th minute. Leonel Araújo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 93rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. PILOTS's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
