Lavras-CE's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-2. 42 minutes into the match, Montilla F.C. Lavras-CE's goal looked a bit too open when Doni Branco came free, but Danny Ocean reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Montilla F.C. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Geovanni Brasil to strike the kick off in the second half. After having played for 52 minutes, Doni Branco managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Alcidio FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Doni Branco was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Alcidio FC's Célio Rocha quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Sandro Porto, made in the 75th minute of the game. With an all-out effort, Alcidio FC's Danny Ocean threw himself towards the right post 78 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Doni Branco, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Doni Branco struck a weak shot in the 80th minute. Danny Ocean didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Alcidio FC. Alcidio FC's Célio Rocha managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Maurício Linhares in the 85 minute of the game. When Túlio Mello fell near the penalty area in the 92nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Alcidio FC's protests and gave Túlio Mello a yellow card for diving instead.
