But to his dismay, Nilton do Vale quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Washington Nogueira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Oswaldo dos Santos having to interfere. If Percival Freitas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. David Nóbrega hit a great freekick 29 minutes into the match. 33 minutes into the match, Capinzal SS's goal looked a bit too open when Washington Nogueira came free, but Oswaldo dos Santos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Washington Nogueira came up free with the goalie in the 35th minute, the Arrepol SC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Washington Nogueira couldn't finish the play. In the 36th match minute, Capinzal SS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Umberto Sá to maneuver through the defense. When Eriberto Freitas fell near the penalty area in the 39th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Arrepol SC's protests and gave Eriberto Freitas a yellow card for diving instead. Eriberto Freitas hit a great freekick 39 minutes into the match. When Nuno Penha came up free with the goalie in the 42nd minute, the Capinzal SS fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Nuno Penha couldn't finish the play. Nilton do Vale might have been able to make a better finish in the 44th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Alfredinho Paraíba. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Nilton do Vale ran back to his position shaking his head. The Arrepol SC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Capinzal SS were winning 0-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Nilton do Vale was the one to do the kick off. In the 54th of the match, Nilton do Vale tried to place the ball in the upper right corner, but Alfredinho Paraíba got in the way and made a wonderful save. Cauan Guedes kicked well hit freekick during the 55th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Arrepol SC's Cauan Guedes got a free kick in the 58th minute. Nilton do Vale was extremely unlucky when he, in the 59th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Capinzal SS's Oswaldo dos Santos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Washington Nogueira in the 63rd minute of play. If Percival Freitas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Capinzal SS's Pedrão Ribeiro got a free kick in the 68th minute. Washington Nogueira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. Oswaldo dos Santos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Capinzal SS's zone, Percival Freitas stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Oswaldo dos Santos came out of the goal and Percival Freitas tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 73rd minute Washington Nogueira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Oswaldo dos Santos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Nilton do Vale kicked well hit freekick during the 78th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nilton do Vale in the 83rd minute of play forced Arrepol SC's goalkeeper Alfredinho Paraíba to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Oswaldo dos Santos didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Arrepol SC's Washington Nogueira shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 1-1 in the ordered_time% minute. Oswaldo dos Santos stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Washington Nogueira's shot from short distance in the 88th minute. Nuno Penha blasted a shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Alfredinho Paraíba having to make a save. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
