Spectators: 6642 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1642, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Chiquinho Passos got the match started through his kick off. Manuel EC's Tadeu Rosado got a good chance for a goal in the 3rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Caetano Arósio's late challenge caught a Manuel EC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Caetano Arósio helped the player get up and apologised. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Zé Pedro Severo during the 5th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 6th match minute, Manuel EC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Zé Pedro Severo to maneuver through the defense. Tadeu Rosado who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 14thth minute tested the skills of Diamantino Moraes when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Conrado Falcão fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Geovânio Veiga having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Juventus United FC's Antônio Bittencourt got a free kick in the 18th minute. Manuel EC's Zé Pedro Severo got a good chance for a goal in the 19th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Zé Pedro Severo might have been able to make a better finish in the 21st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Diamantino Moraes. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Zé Pedro Severo ran back to his position shaking his head. After having played for 23 minutes, Tadeu Rosado managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Manuel EC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tadeu Rosado was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 24 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Juventus United FC! The goalkeeper, Diamantino Moraes, was totally fooled by Manuel EC's Christian Paranaense, who 25 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. Manuel EC's Tadeu Rosado got a good chance for a goal in the 28th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Zé Pedro Severo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Zé Pedro Severo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Diamantino Moraes made an important save on a dangerous shot by Tadeu Rosado in the 34th minute. In the 41st match minute, Juventus United FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Caetano Arósio to maneuver through the defense. In the 45th minute Zé Pedro Severo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Diamantino Moraes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Manuel EC's Tadeu Rosado got a good chance for a goal in the 48th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Zé Pedro Severo was the one to do the kick off. When Zé Pedro Severo came up free with the goalie in the 53rd minute, the Manuel EC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Zé Pedro Severo couldn't finish the play. Tadeu Rosado recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 55th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Zé Pedro Severo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Diamantino Moraes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zé Pedro Severo in the 62nd minute of play forced Juventus United FC's goalkeeper Diamantino Moraes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Juventus United FC getting a freekick after 64 minutes play. André Luiz Negri hit a great ball. Zé Pedro Severo blasted a shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Diamantino Moraes having to make a save. If Zé Pedro Severo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Tadeu Rosado came up free with the goalie in the 86th minute, the Manuel EC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tadeu Rosado couldn't finish the play.
