Spectators: 7310 (Terracing: 5484, Seating: 1681, VIP seats: 145) Gauacu EC's Zacarias Salgado started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Gilmar Simão came out of the goal in the 7th minute to try and stop a shot by Gauacu EC's Tiberiu Rucăreanu. But to his dismay, Tiberiu Rucăreanu quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. Tiberiu Rucăreanu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 10th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Tiberiu Rucăreanu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Eliézer de Toledo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Valdo Mello in the 15th minute of play. Gilmar Simão made a fantastic save in the 16th minute, when Tiberiu Rucăreanu sent off a good shot on target. Leopoldo Rossi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gilmar Simão having to interfere. Eliézer de Toledo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Valdo Mello in the 23rd minute of play. In the 28th minute Valdo Mello shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eliézer de Toledo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Bavi da paz's Gilmar Simão proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 33rd minute of the match, managed to save Bavi da paz from getting a goal against them. In the 36th minute, Gauacu EC's Tiberiu Rucăreanu dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-0. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Valdo Mello made a kick off. 59 minutes into the game, one of Gauacu EC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Gauacu EC:s Eliézer de Toledo showed great skill when he stopped Erik Dantas:s penalty. 66 minutes into the game, Gauacu EC's Zacarias Salgado nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Gilmar Simão made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-0. In the 80th minute, Luís Eduardo Urbano hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Emerson dos Santos lost his temper 81 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 81st minute of the game. One of Gauacu EC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Bavi da paz:s goal. Gauacu EC:s Eliézer de Toledo showed great skill when he stopped Erik Dantas:s penalty. After 84 minutes, Fellipe Negri mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Gauacu EC and the Bavi da paz players grew even worse after the yellow card. Eliézer de Toledo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Valdo Mello in the 85th minute of play. In the 91st minute, Tiberiu Rucăreanu ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Gilmar Simão was frozen by the shot and now it was 5-0. In the 93rd match minute, Gauacu EC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Zacarias Salgado to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Flavio Dolcet in the 99th minute of play forced Bavi da paz's goalkeeper Gilmar Simão to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 100th match minute, Bavi da paz was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lenílson Brasil to maneuver through the defense. 103 minutes into the match, Gauacu EC's goal looked a bit too open when Valdo Mello came free, but Eliézer de Toledo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
