Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Geovânio Carneiro made the kick off and thus started the match. After a defensive mix-up in Coaticaba's zone, Jonathan Luz stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Célio de Amorim came out of the goal and Jonathan Luz tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Jonathan Luz scored 0-1 in the 12th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Célio de Amorim, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 18th minute Juvenal Quaresma shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Célio de Amorim saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Célio de Amorim took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Juvenal Quaresma, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 20 minutes, Geovânio Carneiro mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Coaticaba and the Nova União F.C players grew even worse after the yellow card. Célio de Amorim showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rony Batista in the 24th minute of the match. In the 24th minute, Rony Batista ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Célio de Amorim was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. In the 26th match minute, Nova União F.C was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tiago Gonçalves to maneuver through the defense. Nova União F.C's Tiago Gonçalves got a good chance for a goal in the 32nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 35 minutes into the game, Nova União F.C's Juvenal Quaresma nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Célio de Amorim made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-3. Célio de Amorim showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rony Batista, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. Nova União F.C's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Gualter da Rocha in the 39th minute. When Nova União F.C's Nico Brito in the 43rd minute got a chance for a shot 43rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Coaticaba's goalie prevented a goal. 44 minutes into the match, Nova União F.C's goalkeeper Cacá Messias had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Celso Xavier. In the 45th minute, Jonathan Luz left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Nova União F.C fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-4. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-4 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Jonathan Luz was the one to do the kick off. Tiago Gonçalves received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Célio de Amorim tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 61 minutes into the match, Nova União F.C's Jonathan Luz sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Célio de Amorim narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Celso Xavier during the 62nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Celso Xavier hit a great freekick 62 minutes into the match. Célio de Amorim showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rony Batista, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute. Jonathan Luz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Célio de Amorim having to interfere. If Rony Batista had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 72 minutes into the game, Jonathan Luz recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Célio de Amorim. Jonathan Luz showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-6. The crowd rose to their feet as Jonathan Luz kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Célio de Amorim. That made the score 0-7 in the 75 minute of play. If Radomil Gajewski had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Celso Xavier in the 81st minute of play forced Nova União F.C's goalkeeper Cacá Messias to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Célio de Amorim took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jonathan Luz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Coaticaba's Geovânio Carneiro got a free kick in the 86th minute. If Jonathan Luz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some careless play in the Coaticaba defense, Nico Brito kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Célio de Amorim. The Coaticaba fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Célio de Amorim should have stopped the shot. In the 98th minute, Rony Batista fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Célio de Amorim, passed just outside the right post. The Coaticaba fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Nova União F.C were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
