Diamantino Goiano hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. 16 minutes into the game, Pedro Augusto Faria was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Arimateia's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Maragogipe SS the free kick. In the 16th match minute, Arimateia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Pedro Augusto Faria to maneuver through the defense. In the 18th minute of the match, Wágner Andrade tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Benê Rossi saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Diamantino Goiano struck a weak shot in the 19th minute. Benê Rossi didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Maragogipe SS. Wágner Andrade fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Benê Rossi having to interfere. Benê Rossi made an important save on a dangerous shot by Tiago Gabriel Nogueira in the 26th minute. Maragogipe SS's Wágner Andrade got a good chance for a goal in the 27th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Claudinei Peres hit a great freekick 31 minutes into the match. In the 32nd minute Wágner Andrade shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benê Rossi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 35 minutes into the match, Maragogipe SS's Wágner Andrade sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Benê Rossi narrowly saved just below the crossbar. When Wágner Andrade came up free with the goalie in the 36th minute, the Maragogipe SS fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Wágner Andrade couldn't finish the play. Wágner Andrade received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Benê Rossi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 39th minute, Maragogipe SS's Wágner Andrade ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Benê Rossi. Benê Rossi yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-0. Wágner Andrade sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Wágner Andrade to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 54th match minute, Arimateia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jean Rossi to maneuver through the defense. Virgílio Vander recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 56th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 58th minute Wágner Andrade shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benê Rossi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Maragogipe SS's defense didn't have a chance, in the 70th minute, when Virgílio Vander scored to the left of an out of position Tião Meirelles, making the score, 2-1. Vânderson Sampaio's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Tião Meirelles read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 76th minute of play. In the 76th match minute, Maragogipe SS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Diamantino Goiano to maneuver through the defense. Maragogipe SS's Tião Meirelles proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 77th minute of the match, managed to save Maragogipe SS from getting a goal against them. Wágner Andrade sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Maragogipe SS's Diamantino Goiano got a good chance for a goal in the 87th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 90th minute, Diamantino Goiano managed to get in a good position for a shot. Maragogipe SS's supporters rose to their feet, but Diamantino Goiano was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Benê Rossi breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Benê Rossi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tiago Gabriel Nogueira in the 93rd minute of play. Virgílio Vander sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
