Gino Meira was out of position in the 12 minute of play, and Fellipe Peixoto capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Fellipe Peixoto really showed his touch with that goal: 1-1. Gino Meira didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Bernardo Aguiar went, in the 15th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. The Goias fans' excitement grew in the 20th match minute when Goias's Dedé Nóbrega looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Dedé Nóbrega in the 24th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Pedrão Ferraz saved Anil AD from getting behind. Rômulo Pena sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 30 minutes into the game, Goias's Armando Lopes nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Pedrão Ferraz made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-3. Pedrão Ferraz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Armando Lopes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Anil AD's Pedrão Ferraz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dedé Nóbrega in the 36th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Dedé Nóbrega's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Pedrão Ferraz was relentless in the 38th minute of the game. Anil AD's Pedrão Ferraz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rômulo Pena in the 44th minute of play. After having played for 45 minutes, Dedé Nóbrega managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Goias's supporters crossed their fingers, but Dedé Nóbrega was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Goias's Dedê Maia got a good chance for a goal in the 47th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.

The wind increased when Paulinho Corrêa made the kick off in the second half. Dedê Maia fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pedrão Ferraz having to interfere. After 56 minutes, Armando Lopes made it 2-4 with a short kick to the right side. Anil AD's Pedrão Ferraz tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Dedê Maia charged in rather forcefully in the 58th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Dedê Maia the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Dedê Maia kicked well hit freekick during the 59th minute of the match. Pedrão Ferraz was out of position in the 62 minute of play, and Rômulo Pena capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Rômulo Pena really showed his touch with that goal: 2-5. When Bernardo Aguiar came up free with the goalie in the 64th minute, the Anil AD fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bernardo Aguiar couldn't finish the play. After a defensive mix-up in Anil AD's zone, Rômulo Pena stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Pedrão Ferraz came out of the goal and Rômulo Pena tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Dedé Nóbrega struck a weak shot in the 75th minute. Pedrão Ferraz didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Goias. If Armando Lopes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 78th minute, Rômulo Pena managed to get in a good position for a shot. Goias's supporters rose to their feet, but Rômulo Pena was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Pedrão Ferraz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Victor Trancoso's late challenge caught a Goias's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Victor Trancoso helped the player get up and apologised. After 79 played minutes Anil AD got a freekick which was hit by Victor Trancoso. 85 minutes into the game, Goias's Dedé Nóbrega nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
