In the 29th match minute, Capivari was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dedé Fernandes to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of Tomazina booed when Capivari was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Charles Alves didn't get a good kick on the ball. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Emerson Rezende to make the kick off. 53 minutes into the game, Capivari's Emerson Rezende nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Alberto Soares made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. In the 56th minute the ball was on its way in behind Tomazina's goalkeeper Alberto Soares, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The Capivari fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Emerson Rezende in the 92nd minute of play forced Tomazina's goalkeeper Alberto Soares to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Capivari's Cauan da Cunha proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 94th minute of the match, managed to save Capivari from getting a goal against them.
