Geovani Nunes stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Tony da Costa's shot from short distance in the 64th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Chico Novaes in the 90th minute of play forced Taubaté F.C.'s goalkeeper Geovani Nunes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The Taubaté F.C. fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Geovani Nunes should have stopped the shot. In the 96th match minute, Mutum was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vinícius Ortiz to maneuver through the defense. Chico Novaes took the ball and in the 100 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Geovani Nunes. Geovani Nunes dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 8-0.
