With a little luck, Cheruan SS's Washington de Queiroz got control of the ball when Andrézinho Sarmento tried to sneak it across the goal line. Andrézinho Sarmento's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Washington de Queiroz read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 4th minute of play. In the 6th minute Laerte Vale shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Washington de Queiroz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Andrézinho Sarmento fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Washington de Queiroz having to interfere. After having played for 12 minutes, Hudson Brodel managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cheruan SS's supporters crossed their fingers, but Hudson Brodel was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Dorin Cârju received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Paulo Vander tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Andrézinho Sarmento succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 2-0 in the 39th playminute. Juan Bladi struck a weak shot in the 44th minute. Paulo Vander didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cheruan SS. Dorin Cârju received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Paulo Vander tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Laerte Vale to strike the kick off in the second half. Juan Bladi hit a great freekick 59 minutes into the match. Laerte Vale received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. Washington de Queiroz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Dorin Cârju sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Laerte Vale in the 66th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Washington de Queiroz saved Cheruan SS from getting behind. 70 minutes into the match, Cheruan SS's goal looked a bit too open when Andrézinho Sarmento came free, but Washington de Queiroz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Dorin Cârju might have been able to make a better finish in the 76th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Paulo Vander. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Dorin Cârju ran back to his position shaking his head. After some careless play in the Cheruan SS defense, Laerte Vale kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Washington de Queiroz. The Cheruan SS fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Washington de Queiroz should have stopped the shot. Dorin Cârju kicked well hit freekick during the 82nd minute of the match. 84 minutes into the match, Cheruan SS's goal looked a bit too open when Laerte Vale came free, but Washington de Queiroz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 85 played minutes Cheruan SS got a freekick which was hit by Juan Bladi. Juan Bladi recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 88th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 90 minutes, Leonardo Mark mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Cheruan SS and the Cachorrinho SC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 91st minute, Leonardo Mark hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 94 minutes into the game, Juan Bladi was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Cheruan SS's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Cachorrinho SC the free kick. A collision led to Cheruan SS getting a freekick after 94 minutes play. Juan Bladi hit a great ball. Cheruan SS's supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because Cachorrinho SC had won, even though Cheruan SS had held more of the ball.
