Spectators: 6000 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Dorin Cârju got the match started through his kick off. 3 minutes into the match, Cheruan SS's goal looked a bit too open when Waldir Tepedino came free, but Washington de Queiroz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Juan Bladi fell near the penalty area in the 7th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Cheruan SS's protests and gave Juan Bladi a yellow card for diving instead. In the 7th match minute, Cheruan SS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Juan Bladi to maneuver through the defense. Leonardo Mark hit a great freekick 11 minutes into the match. Waldir Tepedino received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 12th minute. Washington de Queiroz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Marcelo Simão did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 1-0 to the left of a surprised Washington de Queiroz 14 minutes into the match. 29 minutes into the match, Cheruan SS's goalkeeper Washington de Queiroz had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Cafu Trigo. Téo Teixeira took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Juan Bladi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 35 played minutes America MG got a freekick which was hit by Cafu Trigo. Juan Bladi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 43rd minute, Juan Bladi managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cheruan SS's supporters rose to their feet, but Juan Bladi was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Téo Teixeira breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 47th minute Waldir Tepedino shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Washington de Queiroz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Waldir Tepedino was the one to do the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dorin Cârju in the 51st minute of play forced America MG's goalkeeper Téo Teixeira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Marcelo Simão fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Washington de Queiroz having to interfere. If Marcelo Simão had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Marcelo Simão sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Cheruan SS's Juan Bladi got a good chance for a goal in the 69th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in America MG's zone, Leonardo Mark stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Téo Teixeira came out of the goal and Leonardo Mark tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Dorin Cârju struck a weak shot in the 76th minute. Téo Teixeira didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cheruan SS. Hudson Brodel's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Téo Teixeira read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 79th minute of play. 79 minutes into the game, Cafu Trigo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. America MG's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Cheruan SS the free kick. Cafu Trigo kicked well hit freekick during the 79th minute of the match. Juan Bladi recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 84th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Cheruan SS's Dorin Cârju got a good chance for a goal in the 87th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Juan Bladi in the 90th minute of play forced America MG's goalkeeper Téo Teixeira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The America MG support was delighted with a win in a match that could easily have ended differently.
