Bernardinho Maranhense made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zé Pedro Quintal in the 7th minute of play. Alan Neiva fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fred Ferreira having to interfere. In the 47th minute, Ceveira FC's Zé Pedro Quintal dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-0. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Zé Pedro Quintal was the one to do the kick off. If Alan Neiva had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Eugênio Neiva could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 65th minute of the match, but Fred Ferreira made a huge save. Eugênio Neiva sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Ceveira FC booed when Jubaia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 96 match minutes in a wonderful position. José Paulo Mendes didn't get a good kick on the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Diogo de Brito in the 97th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Bernardinho Maranhense prevented the ball from getting in the gole.
