Eduardo Gerber recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 18th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Eduardo Gerber had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 23rd minute, Diogo de Brito hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Dedé Carvalho showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Zé Pedro Quintal in the 25th minute of the match. In the 26th minute Conrado Reis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dedé Carvalho saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Diogo de Brito in the 30th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Dedé Carvalho prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 38 minutes into the game, Frank de Mendonça was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Camarada EC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ceveira FC the free kick. The supporters of Ceveira FC booed when Camarada EC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 38 match minutes in a wonderful position. Frank de Mendonça didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Diogo de Brito in the 39th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Dedé Carvalho saved Camarada EC from getting behind. 45 minutes into the match, Zé Pedro Quintal had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Dedé Carvalho. Camarada EC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Zé Pedro Quintal was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Eduardo Gerber was the one to do the kick off. If Eduardo Gerber had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. Camarada EC's Dedé Carvalho played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zé Pedro Quintal in the 69th minute of play. Cesinha Amorim hit a great freekick 78 minutes into the match. After having played for 79 minutes, Eduardo Gerber managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Camarada EC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Eduardo Gerber was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Camarada EC had played much better football throughout.
