Alvorada EC's Simon Levander proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 36th minute of the match, managed to save Alvorada EC from getting a goal against them. Marcos do Valle took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Juan Pinheiro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With his leg Simon Levander managed to avoid a goal in the 39thth minute, when Chiku's Claudinei Pimenta fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Luís Leão to make the kick off. Chiku's Tiago Gabriel Munhoz got a good chance for a goal in the 72nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Tiago Gabriel Munhoz struck a weak shot in the 74th minute. Simon Levander didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Chiku. Juan Pinheiro came free with the goalkeeper in the 76th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Marcos do Valle could save by the left post. Chiku's Claudinei Pimenta got a good chance for a goal in the 78th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Décio Galvão kicked well hit freekick during the 80th minute of the match. Luís Fábio Pena took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 82nd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Marcos do Valle. Chiku's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Marcos do Valle made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luís Leão in the 86th minute of play. After 93 minutes of play, Chiku's Claudinei do Vale made it 1-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Simon Levander was left in no man's land by his defense there! When the referee blew the final whistle jeers and boos were heard from the home team's supporters. They were angered to see Chiku lose a match they had controlled from the kick-off.
