The crowd rose to their feet as SC Perebas's Hudson Garcia slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Elder Sena. That made the score 1-0 after 8 minutes of play. In the 12th minute, Renan Massa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Renan Massa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. Ronaldinho Sarmento tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Elder Sena showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kléberson Netto, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. The supporters of SC Perebas booed when Mandi FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Edmílson da Costa didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience thought it was a sure goal in the 24th minute, when SC Perebas's Alberto Capixaba after having done a great run through the defense got himself free with Elder Sena in Mandi FC's goal and fired away a shot, but it missed the goal by a fraction of an inch. Alex Velloso struck a weak shot in the 28th minute. Ronaldinho Sarmento didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Mandi FC. Téo Pires sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ronaldinho Sarmento stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Alex Velloso's shot from short distance in the 36th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Renan Massa in the 42nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ronaldinho Sarmento prevented the ball from getting in the gole. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Alex Velloso fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ronaldinho Sarmento having to interfere. SC Perebas's Ronaldinho Sarmento proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 53rd minute of the match, managed to save SC Perebas from getting a goal against them. In the 55th match minute, Mandi FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Silvinho Quintal to maneuver through the defense. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Kléberson Netto in the 56th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Elder Sena saved Mandi FC from getting behind. Hudson Garcia fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Elder Sena having to interfere. Mandi FC's Elder Sena played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kléberson Netto in the 62nd minute of play. After 63 played minutes Mandi FC got a freekick which was hit by Edmílson da Costa. Percival Secco hit a great freekick 64 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Mandi FC's zone, Alberto Capixaba stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Elder Sena came out of the goal and Alberto Capixaba tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Hudson Garcia received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Elder Sena tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 70th match minute, SC Perebas was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gil Abraão to maneuver through the defense. Renan Massa came free with the goalkeeper in the 71st minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Ronaldinho Sarmento could save by the left post. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Renan Massa during the 76th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 89th minute Silvinho Quintal shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ronaldinho Sarmento saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 90th minute, Dieguinho Santana hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ronaldinho Sarmento was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Alex Velloso showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-1 in the 92 minute of play. SC Perebas succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though Mandi FC had controlled the match.
