The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Manuel Arósio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jerrald Lara, who was totally free with the ball in the 3rd minute. Manuel Arósio came out of the goal in the 5th minute to try and stop a shot by Esporte Clube Desterro's José Paulo Urbano. But to his dismay, José Paulo Urbano quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. After 8 played minutes Esporte Clube Desterro got a freekick which was hit by Abel Porto. Manuel Arósio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bozydar Iwanoff in the 10th minute of the match. An unexpected shot in the 12th minute by Digo Nóbrega got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Vitinho Netto stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Rui Amaral's shot from short distance in the 14th minute. If Jerrald Lara had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Manuel Arósio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from José Paulo Urbano in the 22nd minute of the match. Bozydar Iwanoff took the ball and in the 23 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Manuel Arósio. Manuel Arósio dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. 27 minutes into the game, Jerrald Lara cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-3. Manuel Arósio was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. When the match clock showed 30 minutes, the score became 0-4 when Jerrald Lara sped through Fordlandia's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Manuel Arósio. Fordlandia's Manuel Arósio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by José Paulo Urbano in the 35th minute of play. Manuel Arósio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jerrald Lara in the 37th minute of the match. Manuel Arósio didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from José Paulo Urbano went, in the 39th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-5 was the resulting score. Percy Velasco scored 0-6 in the 44th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Manuel Arósio, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The audience thought a goal was coming when Rui Amaral got free with Vitinho Netto in the 47th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-6 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Felipe Donato was the one to do the kick off. Felipe Donato kicked well hit freekick during the 51st minute of the match. A collision led to Fordlandia getting a freekick after 54 minutes play. Ramón Tavares hit a great ball. Manuel Arósio made a fantastic save in the 57th minute, when Bozydar Iwanoff sent off a good shot on target. In the 62nd minute, Jerrald Lara made a precise shot to the right of Manuel Arósio. Fordlandia's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-8. After some careless play in the Fordlandia defense, Jerrald Lara kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Manuel Arósio. The Fordlandia fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Manuel Arósio should have stopped the shot. 71 minutes into the match, Fordlandia's goalkeeper Manuel Arósio had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jerrald Lara. The audience thought a goal was coming when Abel Porto got free with Manuel Arósio in the 77th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 79 minutes of play, Esporte Clube Desterro's José Paulo Urbano made it 0-10 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Manuel Arósio was left in no man's land by his defense there! Manuel Arósio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jerrald Lara, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jerrald Lara recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 86th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Manuel Arósio was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Bozydar Iwanoff showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-11 in the 87 minute of play. Manuel Arósio made an important save on a dangerous shot by Bozydar Iwanoff in the 92nd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bozydar Iwanoff in the 96th minute of play forced Fordlandia's goalkeeper Manuel Arósio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Esporte Clube Desterro's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
