If Angelo Cardoso had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Amauri Valle came out of the goal in the 19th minute to try and stop a shot by Tarrafas SS's Cristian Prestes. But to his dismay, Cristian Prestes quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. After some careless play in the Tarrafas SS defense, João Adolfo Nunes kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Leopoldo da Costa. The Tarrafas SS fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Leopoldo da Costa should have stopped the shot. Delfim Borges took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 34th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Leopoldo da Costa. Tarrafas SS's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Romeu Vargas kicked well hit freekick during the 41st minute of the match. In the 44th match minute, Tucunzeiro EC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Angelo Cardoso to maneuver through the defense. When Cristian Prestes came up free with the goalie in the 45th minute, the Tarrafas SS fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cristian Prestes couldn't finish the play. In the 59thth minute of the game Angelo Cardoso who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Tarrafas SS's Leopoldo da Costa was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 62nd minute, Angelo Cardoso managed to get in a good position for a shot. Tucunzeiro EC's supporters rose to their feet, but Angelo Cardoso was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Leopoldo da Costa breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When the match clock showed 63 minutes, the score became 3-2 when Angelo Cardoso sped through Tarrafas SS's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Leopoldo da Costa. Amauri Valle made a fantastic save in the 72nd minute, when Luiz Fabiano Coelho sent off a good shot on target. The audience was convinced that Aníbal Cunha's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Leopoldo da Costa was relentless in the 74th minute of the game.
