Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Humberto Pinheiro started the match with the kick off. When Alberto Coelho fell near the penalty area in the 4th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Itaiuba's protests and gave Alberto Coelho a yellow card for diving instead. In the 4th minute, Alberto Coelho hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In a very dangerous position, a player in Acotea SS fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 6th minute. Penalty! Marcos Zonta shot the penalty kick by force right in the crossbar. No goal. Tostão Matorin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ronaldão Batista, who was totally free with the ball in the 10th minute. When the match had gone on for 10 minutes, Ronaldão Batista put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Tostão Matorin. Tostão Matorin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jacinto Santos in the 13th minute of play. After 15 played minutes Acotea SS got a freekick which was hit by Fernandinho Coutinho. 17 minutes into the match, Itaiuba's goal looked a bit too open when Humberto Pinheiro came free, but Reynaldo Amaral reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Tostão Matorin didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ronaldão Batista went, in the 20th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. Tostão Matorin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jacinto Santos in the 22nd minute of play. Tostão Matorin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bebeto Vargas, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. Tostão Matorin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ronaldão Batista, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 31 minutes into the game, Ronaldão Batista cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-3. Tostão Matorin was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Fernandinho Coutinho blasted a shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Reynaldo Amaral having to make a save. In the 45th match minute, Itaiuba was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Geovânio Machado to maneuver through the defense. Tostão Matorin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jacinto Santos in the 47th minute of play.

Tostão Matorin made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jacinto Santos in the 51st minute. When the match clock showed 54 minutes, the score became 2-3 when Humberto Pinheiro sped through Itaiuba's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Reynaldo Amaral. In a very dangerous position, a player in Itaiuba fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 68th minute. Penalty! In the 70th minute there was a penalty for Acotea SS. Gualter da Costa stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Reynaldo Amaral. 4-3. After some fancy dribbling in the 73rd minute, Humberto Pinheiro managed to get in a good position for a shot. Acotea SS's supporters rose to their feet, but Humberto Pinheiro was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Reynaldo Amaral breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 74 played minutes Itaiuba got a freekick which was hit by Bebeto Vargas. 75 minutes into the match, Humberto Pinheiro notched a goal, 5-3, to the right of Itaiuba's Reynaldo Amaral. Reynaldo Amaral was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Tostão Matorin was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Ronaldão Batista showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 5-4 in the 78 minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Telmo Almeida during the 81st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Itaiuba's Telmo Almeida got a free kick in the 81st minute. In the 82nd minute, Gualter da Costa got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jacinto Santos got free with Tostão Matorin in the 88th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Fernandinho Coutinho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 91st match minute, Acotea SS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hélder de Souza to maneuver through the defense. With a little luck, Acotea SS's Tostão Matorin got control of the ball when Jacinto Santos tried to sneak it across the goal line. Tostão Matorin came out of the goal in the 97th minute to try and stop a shot by Itaiuba's Alberto Coelho. But to his dismay, Alberto Coelho quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 5-6. The Itaiuba players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
