Ramón da Rocha showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sandro Toledo in the 20th minute of the match. A collision led to Pescadores United getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Mazinho Peixoto hit a great ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Sandro Toledo in the 22nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ramón da Rocha saved Pescadores United from getting behind. After a rather tough play, NOCIT F.C's Jorginho Rodrigues got a free kick in the 24th minute. Falcão Simões sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After some careless play in the NOCIT F.C defense, Luís Vianna kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Chico de Sena. The NOCIT F.C fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Chico de Sena should have stopped the shot. In the 39th minute, Falcão Simões made a precise shot to the right of Chico de Sena. NOCIT F.C's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-4. 44 minutes into the game, Pescadores United's Falcão Simões nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Chico de Sena made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-5. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-5 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Luís Vianna stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, Pescadores United's Frédson Brodel got a free kick in the 89th minute. NOCIT F.C's Chico de Sena proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 93rd minute of the match, managed to save NOCIT F.C from getting a goal against them. If Iuri Sampaio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 95 minutes into the match, NOCIT F.C's goal looked a bit too open when Iuri Sampaio came free, but Chico de Sena reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the match was over Pescadores United could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than NOCIT F.C throughout the match.
