A collision led to Mijo Futebol Clube getting a freekick after 22 minutes play. Enéas de Senna hit a great ball. 26 minutes into the game, Marcos Sampaio cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Eliézer Queiroz was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Eliézer Queiroz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marcos Sampaio, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. Eliézer Queiroz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vitório Gaspar, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Marcos Sampaio in the 36th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Eliézer Queiroz prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Adriano Britto hit a great freekick 39 minutes into the match. 40 minutes into the match, Mijo Futebol Clube's Kléber da Costa broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. 48 minutes into the match, Itapitacai SC's goal looked a bit too open when Jerônimo Freire came free, but Eliézer Queiroz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The Itapitacai SC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Mijo Futebol Clube were winning 0-1.

Marcos Sampaio recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 53rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Frédson Cardozo's late challenge caught a Itapitacai SC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Frédson Cardozo helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Mijo Futebol Clube getting a freekick after 56 minutes play. Frédson Cardozo hit a great ball. Pedro Luiz de Senna struck a weak shot in the 62nd minute. Cristiano Branco didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Itapitacai SC. If Aloísio de Lara had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Eliézer Queiroz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marcos Sampaio in the 82nd minute of play. In the 89th minute, Vitório Gaspar got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 90th minute, Christiano Senna hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Vitório Gaspar might have been able to make a better finish in the 91st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Eliézer Queiroz. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Vitório Gaspar ran back to his position shaking his head. 92 minutes into the game, Marcos Sampaio recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Eliézer Queiroz. Marcos Sampaio showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-2. Eliézer Queiroz was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Marcos Sampaio showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-3 in the 96 minute of play. Mijo Futebol Clube's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
