Leblon SC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Milonga the free kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Leonel Rocha in the 26th minute of play forced Leblon SC's goalkeeper Fernandão Amorim to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Leblon SC getting a freekick after 26 minutes play. Claudinho Paiva hit a great ball. Milonga's César Carvalho played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fabrício Barros in the 33rd minute of play. When Fellipe Queirós fell near the penalty area in the 36th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Milonga's protests and gave Fellipe Queirós a yellow card for diving instead. Iuri Pinheiro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without César Carvalho having to interfere. If Digo do Vale had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 48th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

The wind increased when Leonel Rocha made the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute, Adalberto Figueiredo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Fernandão Amorim made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Leonel Rocha in the 56th minute of play. Leonel Rocha fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fernandão Amorim having to interfere. A collision led to Leblon SC getting a freekick after 65 minutes play. Claudinho Paiva hit a great ball. In the 67th minute, Claudinho Paiva hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Claudinho Paiva sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Fellipe Queirós hit a great freekick 75 minutes into the match. When Digo do Vale came up free with the goalie in the 77th minute, the Milonga fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Digo do Vale couldn't finish the play. After some fancy dribbling in the 89th minute, Leonel Rocha managed to get in a good position for a shot. Milonga's supporters rose to their feet, but Leonel Rocha was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Fernandão Amorim breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Claudinho Paiva was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 93 minutes had been played. The supporters of Milonga booed when Leblon SC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 94 match minutes in a wonderful position. Claudinho Paiva didn't get a good kick on the ball. 97 minutes into the match, Leblon SC's goalkeeper Fernandão Amorim had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Digo do Vale. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
