Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Júlio Tepedino made the kick off which started today's match. In the 3rd minute Paulinho Barros shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cipriano Mesquita saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Arapiraca EC's Vágner Berger got a free kick in the 4th minute. 5 minutes into the game, Robinho Damião was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Arapiraca EC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Orleans the free kick. In the 5th match minute, Arapiraca EC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Robinho Damião to maneuver through the defense. 10 minutes into the match, Orleans's goal looked a bit too open when Júlio Tepedino came free, but Sílvio Luiz Souto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Through an outstanding action, after 14 minutes, Cipriano Mesquita successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. In the 20th minute, Arapiraca EC's Sérgio Nóbrega seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Sérgio Nóbrega the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Arapiraca EC protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Sérgio Nóbrega had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 19th minute of the game. One of Arapiraca EC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Orleans:s goal. A collision led to Orleans getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Pedro Augusto Azevedo hit a great ball. Nildo Furtado hit a great freekick 26 minutes into the match. Sílvio Luiz Souto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Francisco Silveira in the 27th minute of play. Luizinho Fonseca took the ball and in the 30 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Cipriano Mesquita. Cipriano Mesquita dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. In the 33rd minute, Eduardo dos Santos ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Sílvio Luiz Souto was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. 37 minutes into the match, Orleans's goal looked a bit too open when Celso Figueiredo came free, but Sílvio Luiz Souto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a little luck, Arapiraca EC's Cipriano Mesquita got control of the ball when Luiz Guilherme Paulista tried to sneak it across the goal line. Arapiraca EC's Cipriano Mesquita proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 47th minute of the match, managed to save Arapiraca EC from getting a goal against them. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.
Celso Figueiredo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Arapiraca EC's Francisco Silveira got a good chance for a goal in the 57th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 59 minutes into the match, Arapiraca EC's goal looked a bit too open when Luizinho Fonseca came free, but Cipriano Mesquita reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a little luck, Orleans's Sílvio Luiz Souto got control of the ball when Celso Figueiredo tried to sneak it across the goal line. Cipriano Mesquita showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pedro Augusto Azevedo, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute. 64 minutes into the match, Luizinho Fonseca had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Cipriano Mesquita. Arapiraca EC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Luizinho Fonseca was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-1. If Luizinho Fonseca had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Pedro Augusto Azevedo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Cipriano Mesquita tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Cipriano Mesquita took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Paulinho Barros, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Celso Figueiredo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 77th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 79th minute, Pedro Augusto Azevedo left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Orleans fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-1. Cipriano Mesquita showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Paulinho Barros, who was totally free with the ball in the 83rd minute. Cipriano Mesquita showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luizinho Fonseca in the 85th minute of the match. Cipriano Mesquita showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luizinho Fonseca, who was totally free with the ball in the 88th minute. Cipriano Mesquita made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luizinho Fonseca in the 91st minute of play. Júlio Tepedino kicked well hit freekick during the 92nd minute of the match. Arapiraca EC's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
