An unexpectedly hard shot by Baltazar Tepedino in the 24th minute of play forced 大胆さと喜び's goalkeeper Luiz Paulo Brodel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Olívio Quirino didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 25th minute, which inside left pole to 1-0. 28 minutes into the match, ASEC Mimosas MZC's goalkeeper Olívio Quirino had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Tiago Marinho. Olívio Quirino made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Robert Mellberg in the 47th minute of play. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Tiago Marinho to strike the kick off in the second half. Olívio Quirino showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tiago Marinho in the 54th minute of the match. A collision led to ASEC Mimosas MZC getting a freekick after 54 minutes play. Glauco Bittencourt hit a great ball. In the 55th minute of the match Ramón de Godoy sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Olívio Quirino skillfully saved the ball. After a rather tough play, ASEC Mimosas MZC's Evandro Schmidt got a free kick in the 59th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Robert Mellberg in the 90th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Olívio Quirino prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When Baltazar Tepedino came up free with the goalie in the 92nd minute, the ASEC Mimosas MZC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Baltazar Tepedino couldn't finish the play. In the 94th minute, Evandro Schmidt hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 大胆さと喜び walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
