Erasmo Cosme showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dorian Branco, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. In the 28th match minute, InterNacionale was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cauã Félix to maneuver through the defense. After 29 played minutes InterNacionale got a freekick which was hit by Luiz Fernando Cerezo. After some careless play in the InterNacionale defense, Walmir Cunha kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Erasmo Cosme. The InterNacionale fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Erasmo Cosme should have stopped the shot. Erasmo Cosme took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Frank Vinhas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Erasmo Cosme made an important save on a dangerous shot by Walmir Cunha in the 42nd minute. 3-0 became the score in the 44th minute when Walmir Cunha elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Walmir Cunha to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute, Digo Linhares hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, Nicolau's Claudinei Luz got a free kick in the 54th minute. Erasmo Cosme showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Walmir Cunha in the 64th minute of the match. In the 66th minute, Hamílton Braga ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Erasmo Cosme was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-0. In the 69th minute Dorian Branco shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Erasmo Cosme saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cauã Félix in the 71st minute of play forced Nicolau's goalkeeper Silas Ribeiro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 79th minute, Digo Linhares hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jonathan Ortiz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Silas Ribeiro having to interfere. Erasmo Cosme made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hamílton Braga in the 82nd minute of play. InterNacionale's Erasmo Cosme played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dorian Branco in the 84th minute of play. Luiz Fernando Cerezo hit a great freekick 88 minutes into the match. There was no doubt that Nicolau were the better team. Nicolau's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
