Wilson Abraão didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Felipe. Gilson Pena fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Natã Barros having to interfere. In the 20th match minute, Vassoural was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alan Tróia to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Vassoural's zone, Flavinho Meira stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Wilson Abraão came out of the goal and Flavinho Meira tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 26th play minutes Mateus Meireles shot 0-1, a short shot which went by Natã Barros and just under the crossbar into goal. In the 30th minute, Mateus Meireles hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Vassoural's Mateus Meireles got a good chance for a goal in the 37th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Wilson Abraão showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luciano Barral, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. After a rather tough play, Felipe's Bruno Prestes got a free kick in the 47th minute. The audience held their breath when Joélson Pena in the 49th minute of the game managed to trick the opponents defenses and fired away a shot outside the goal on the Natã Barros's left hand side.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Flavinho Meira was the one to do the kick off. Natã Barros stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Gilson Pena's shot from short distance in the 55th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Luciano Barral in the 61st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Wilson Abraão saved Vassoural from getting behind. After some fancy dribbling in the 62nd minute, Luciano Barral managed to get in a good position for a shot. Felipe's supporters rose to their feet, but Luciano Barral was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Wilson Abraão breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Natã Barros showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gilson Pena, who was totally free with the ball in the 67th minute. Vassoural's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Joélson Pena in the 73rd minute. After taking down the ball on Vassoural's corner Joélson Pena fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Natã Barros quite easily take care of the ball. In the 85th minute, Flavinho Meira hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Natã Barros took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gilson Pena, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Flavinho Meira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Wilson Abraão tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 94 minutes in the game, Gilson Pena fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Natã Barros having to interfere. Felipe's defense didn't have a chance, in the 97th minute, when Gilson Pena scored to the left of an out of position Natã Barros, making the score, 1-2. Vassoural's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
