Seating: 1676, VIP seats: 100) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Bernardinho Dias started the match with the kick off. Elivélton Campidelis received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Régis Castro came out and tried to block the shot, but Elivélton Campidelis slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 4th minute. Elivélton Campidelis could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 7th minute of the match, but Régis Castro made a huge save. Bernardinho Dias's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 8thth minute, Régis Castro skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. 10 minutes into the match, BARCELONA's goal looked a bit too open when Elivélton Campidelis came free, but Régis Castro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 11 minutes into the game, Pavel Polunin recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Régis Castro. Pavel Polunin showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-0. The audience thought a goal was coming when Bernardinho Dias got free with Régis Castro in the 13th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Duarte Bezerra scored 2-1 in the 15th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Luizão Cavalcante, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After some careless play in the BARCELONA defense, Elivélton Campidelis kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Régis Castro. The BARCELONA fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Régis Castro should have stopped the shot. Bernardinho Dias took the ball and in the 26 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Régis Castro. Régis Castro dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-1. Régis Castro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pavel Polunin, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Duarte Bezerra during the 31st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 31 played minutes BARCELONA got a freekick which was hit by Duarte Bezerra. Duarte Bezerra got his second yellow card in the match during the 33rd minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. After a rather tough play, BARCELONA's Duarte Bezerra got a free kick in the 34th minute. Evert Andreasson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Régis Castro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a little luck, BARCELONA's Régis Castro got control of the ball when Evert Andreasson tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 39th minute Pavel Polunin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Régis Castro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 40 minutes into the match, BARCELONA's goal looked a bit too open when Elivélton Campidelis came free, but Régis Castro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the match had gone on for 43 minutes, Bernardinho Dias took a quick shot and it went in 5-1 without a chance for Régis Castro to make any attempt to save it. Natanael Chaves hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match. In the 47th minute, Pavel Polunin sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and BARCELONA's Régis Castro didn't even have to move. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Wieslaw Frankowski was the one to do the kick off. After a rather tough play, Curitiba Flame's Tião Campidelis got a free kick in the 52nd minute. 55 minutes into the match, BARCELONA's goal looked a bit too open when Bernardinho Dias came free, but Régis Castro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 56th minute Evert Andreasson suffered a foot injury and had to be helped off the field. 56 minutes into the game, Natanael Chaves was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. BARCELONA's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Curitiba Flame the free kick. Curitiba Flame's Reginaldo Mendes was substituted for Evert Andreasson. In a very dangerous position, a player in BARCELONA fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 56th minute. Penalty! The referee gave Curitiba Flame a penalty, 59 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Pavel Polunin, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of BARCELONA's Régis Castro. 6-1. 67 minutes into the game, Curitiba Flame's Percy Garcia nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Régis Castro made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 7-1. 70 minutes into the match, BARCELONA's goal looked a bit too open when Pavel Polunin came free, but Régis Castro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bernardinho Dias in the 71st minute of play forced BARCELONA's goalkeeper Régis Castro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 71stth minute of the game Bernardinho Dias who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but BARCELONA's Régis Castro was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. BARCELONA's Régis Castro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Elivélton Campidelis in the 79th minute of play. A collision led to Curitiba Flame getting a freekick after 83 minutes play. Jaime Vale hit a great ball. BARCELONA's attentive Dráusio Gomes managed to snatch the ball when Maksymilian Damazki made a throw-in in the 86th minute of the game. 88 minutes into the match, Elivélton Campidelis had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Régis Castro. BARCELONA's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Elivélton Campidelis was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 10-1. After having played for 92 minutes, Wieslaw Frankowski managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. BARCELONA's supporters crossed their fingers, but Wieslaw Frankowski was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Reginaldo Mendes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 94th minute, Bernardinho Dias managed to get in a good position for a shot. Curitiba Flame's supporters rose to their feet, but Bernardinho Dias was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Régis Castro breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 97th minute Wieslaw Frankowski shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luizão Cavalcante saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some careless play in the BARCELONA defense, Elivélton Campidelis kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Régis Castro. The BARCELONA fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Régis Castro should have stopped the shot. Curitiba Flame's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
