The audience was convinced that Aloísio da Cunha's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Tarcisio Cardoso was relentless in the 15th minute of the game. 17 minutes into the match, Horma SC's Aloísio da Cunha sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Tarcisio Cardoso narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 25th minute Geovanni Berger shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tarcisio Cardoso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some careless play in the Juremal defense, Sandrinho Duarte kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Tarcisio Cardoso. The Juremal fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Tarcisio Cardoso should have stopped the shot. With a little luck, Juremal's Tarcisio Cardoso got control of the ball when Sandrinho Duarte tried to sneak it across the goal line. Tarcisio Cardoso made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aloísio da Cunha in the 31st minute of play. Horma SC's Sandrinho Duarte got a good chance for a goal in the 35th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 39th minute, Geovanni Berger got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Aloísio da Cunha fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tarcisio Cardoso having to interfere. Juremal's Tarcisio Cardoso played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aloísio da Cunha in the 45th minute of play. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 4-0 at half-time.

The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 58 minutes into the match, Juremal's goal looked a bit too open when Sandrinho Duarte came free, but Tarcisio Cardoso reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 59th match minute, Juremal was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dorival Guerra to maneuver through the defense. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Aloísio da Cunha in the 69th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Tarcisio Cardoso saved Juremal from getting behind. 70 minutes into the game, Dorival Guerra was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Juremal's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Horma SC the free kick. A collision led to Juremal getting a freekick after 70 minutes play. Dorival Guerra hit a great ball. Tarcisio Cardoso took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Aloísio da Cunha, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 75th minute Sandrinho Duarte shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tarcisio Cardoso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Tarcisio Cardoso made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aloísio da Cunha in the 76th minute of play.
