Bayeux AD's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ulisses Tande was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 28th minute the ball was on its way in behind Carandina's goalkeeper Felipe de Barros, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 35th minute Ulisses Tande shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Felipe de Barros saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 36th minute Bayeux AD were awarded a corner. Edinho Dante went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner led Bayeux AD's Edinho Dante to fire away a dangerous shot which Felipe de Barros despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. José Augusto de Castro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ulisses Tande stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The Bayeux AD fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Renan de Azevedo should have stopped the shot. Marcinho Souto's late challenge caught a Bayeux AD's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Carandina's Felipe de Barros played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ulisses Tande in the 94th minute of play. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Carandina had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
