With a couple of smart ball manuevers Franklin de Mendonça in the 3rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Aluísio Guimarães saved Galileia AD from getting behind. Silvinho Matos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 5th minute. Aluísio Guimarães tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Hílton Pinheiro was extremely unlucky when he, in the 7th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Natanael Proença made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rafael Damião in the 8th minute of play. If Hílton Pinheiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Aluísio Guimarães made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Franklin de Mendonça in the 11th minute of play. In the 17th minute the ball was on its way in behind Galileia AD's goalkeeper Aluísio Guimarães, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Natanael Proença made a fantastic save in the 23rd minute, when Hílton Pinheiro sent off a good shot on target. Aluísio Guimarães showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Franklin de Mendonça in the 27th minute of the match. Franklin de Mendonça fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aluísio Guimarães having to interfere. Silvinho Matos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Aluísio Guimarães took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Silvinho Matos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Franklin de Mendonça fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aluísio Guimarães having to interfere. In the 43rd minute Silvinho Matos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aluísio Guimarães saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Hílton Pinheiros short, quick shot in the 45thth minute got Natanael Proença to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Rafael Damião to make the kick off. Silvinho Matos's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Aluísio Guimarães firmly grabbed it by the left post. If Franklin de Mendonça had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With his leg Aluísio Guimarães managed to avoid a goal in the 64thth minute, when Saboga's Silvinho Matos fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Saboga's Franklin de Mendonça got a good chance for a goal in the 84th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The audience thought a goal was coming when Silvinho Matos got free with Aluísio Guimarães in the 86th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Franklin de Mendonça recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 89th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Franklin de Mendonça in the 93rd minute of play forced Galileia AD's goalkeeper Aluísio Guimarães to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 95th minute, Franklin de Mendonça managed to get in a good position for a shot. Saboga's supporters rose to their feet, but Franklin de Mendonça was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Aluísio Guimarães breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
