Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. João Carlos Cardoso started the match with the kick off. After 5 minutes of play, Ypióca FC's Delfim Vander made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Tony Messias was left in no man's land by his defense there! Hermínio Lima scored 0-2 in the 8th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Tony Messias, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Tony Messias took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Delfim Vander, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 19 minutes into the match, Senges FC's goal looked a bit too open when Hermínio Lima came free, but Tony Messias reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Hermínio Lima took the ball and in the 22 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Tony Messias. Tony Messias dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-4. Tony Messias made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Delfim Vander in the 29th minute of play. 30 minutes into the game, Ypióca FC's Hermínio Lima nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Tony Messias made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-5. After a defensive mix-up in Ypióca FC's zone, Cesinha Paes stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Caco dos Santos came out of the goal and Cesinha Paes tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Tony Messias came out of the goal in the 37th minute to try and stop a shot by Ypióca FC's Duda Peres. But to his dismay, Duda Peres quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-6. If Cesinha Paes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by João Carlos Cardoso in the 44th minute of play forced Ypióca FC's goalkeeper Caco dos Santos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cesinha Paes kicked well hit freekick during the 45th minute of the match. After having played for 49 minutes, Cesinha Paes managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Senges FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cesinha Paes was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After the first half Ypióca FC were leading 0-6. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Hermínio Lima to strike the kick off in the second half. After some fancy dribbling in the 54th minute, Cesinha Paes managed to get in a good position for a shot. Senges FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Cesinha Paes was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Caco dos Santos breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 56 minutes, Claudinei Corrêa mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Ypióca FC and the Senges FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. João Carlos Cardoso fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Caco dos Santos having to interfere. Claudinei Corrêa scored 0-7 in the 60th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Tony Messias, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After a rather tough play, Ypióca FC's Caco Peixoto got a free kick in the 63rd minute. After a rather tough play, Senges FC's Gugu Leão got a free kick in the 67th minute. Tony Messias made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jorginho Velloso in the 68th minute of play. Thanks to some nice moves Delfim Vander could shoot a difficult shot in the 69th minute, which Tony Messias however easily saved by the left post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hermínio Lima in the 70th minute of play forced Senges FC's goalkeeper Tony Messias to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 73 minutes into the game, one of Ypióca FC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Tony Messias was out of position in the 80 minute of play, and Luís Paulo Borges capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Luís Paulo Borges really showed his touch with that goal: 1-8. Caco dos Santos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cesinha Paes in the 86th minute of play. João Carlos Cardoso's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Caco dos Santos read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 88th minute of play. 91 minutes into the match, Senges FC's goal looked a bit too open when Hermínio Lima came free, but Tony Messias reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Caco dos Santos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from João Carlos Cardoso, who was totally free with the ball in the 94th minute. Senges FC's Tony Messias played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Duda Peres in the 98th minute of play. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Ypióca FC eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
