Percival Diniz was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After 30 played minutes Caratianas got a freekick which was hit by André Valadares. In the 31st minute, Cesinha Baptista got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Percival Diniz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Emanuel Azevedo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Belmiro Porto hit a great freekick 38 minutes into the match. Gilson Cordeiro stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Vânderson Favoretto's shot from short distance in the 40th minute. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

After having played for 52 minutes, Vânderson Favoretto managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Alegrias AD's supporters crossed their fingers, but Vânderson Favoretto was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.
