But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cássio Freire couldn't finish the play. Cássio Freire received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. Ramón Ortiz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gil Melo kicked well hit freekick during the 14th minute of the match. 15 minutes into the match, Ceara Sporting Club's goal looked a bit too open when Waldemar Pinho came free, but Ramón Ortiz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the match clock showed 22 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Waldemar Pinho sped through Ceara Sporting Club's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Ramón Ortiz. Eurico Arósio came out of the goal in the 26th minute to try and stop a shot by Ceara Sporting Club's Raphael Matos. But to his dismay, Raphael Matos quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Waldemar Pinho in the 35th minute of play forced Ceara Sporting Club's goalkeeper Ramón Ortiz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Waldemar Pinho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 43 minutes into the match, Duduzada FC's goal looked a bit too open when Mané Nascimento came free, but Eurico Arósio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With an all-out effort, Ceara Sporting Club's Eurico Arósio threw himself towards the right post 47 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Mané Nascimento, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The wind increased when Waldemar Pinho made the kick off in the second half. Ramón Ortiz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Waldemar Pinho in the 52nd minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Duduzada FC's Hélio Cunha got a free kick in the 56th minute. Raphael Matos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Cássio Freire struck a weak shot in the 60th minute. Ramón Ortiz didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Duduzada FC. When Raphael Matos came up free with the goalie in the 62nd minute, the Ceara Sporting Club fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Raphael Matos couldn't finish the play. Orlando Tepedino fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eurico Arósio having to interfere. Cássio Freire blasted a shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ramón Ortiz having to make a save. After 83 minutes, Didi Garcia mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Duduzada FC and the Ceara Sporting Club players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Ceara Sporting Club booed when Duduzada FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 83 match minutes in a wonderful position. Didi Garcia didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mané Nascimento in the 84th minute of play forced Duduzada FC's goalkeeper Eurico Arósio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Eurico Arósio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mané Nascimento, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Gonçalo Leal's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ramón Ortiz read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 90th minute of play. When Ceara Sporting Club's Mané Nascimento in the 93rd minute got a chance for a shot 93rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Eurico Arósio prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The Duduzada FC players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
