An unexpectedly hard shot by Serginho Simões in the 15th minute of play forced Borussia Dortumund 09's goalkeeper Gerrit Spijker to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Diogo Arantes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mário Mineiro in the 16th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Serginho Simões's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Gerrit Spijker was relentless in the 17th minute of the game. When the match clock showed 19 minutes, the score became 1-0 when Mário Mineiro sped through Camolengue's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Diogo Arantes. Diogo Arantes was a little too slow when Mário Mineiro got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 23rd minute. The score was now 2-0. Gerrit Spijker showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Serginho Simões, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. In the 28th minute Serginho Simões shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gerrit Spijker saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Mário Mineiro in the 29th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Diogo Arantes prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Diogo Arantes made an important save on a dangerous shot by Mário Mineiro in the 32nd minute. The Borussia Dortumund 09 fans' excitement grew in the 33rd match minute when Borussia Dortumund 09's Mário Mineiro looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 3-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Gerrit Spijker showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Serginho Simões in the 37th minute of the match. 38 minutes into the match, Camolengue's goal looked a bit too open when Mário Mineiro came free, but Diogo Arantes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gerrit Spijker took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Décio Capixaba, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in Camolengue's zone, Mário Mineiro stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Diogo Arantes came out of the goal and Mário Mineiro tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Mário Mineiro was the one to do the kick off. In the 55th minute, Serginho Simões ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Gerrit Spijker was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-1. Gerrit Spijker made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Serginho Simões in the 58th minute of play. Dorival Ramalho's late challenge caught a Camolengue's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Dorival Ramalho helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Borussia Dortumund 09 getting a freekick after 59 minutes play. Dorival Ramalho hit a great ball. 64 minutes into the game, Mário Mineiro cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 5-1. Diogo Arantes was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mário Mineiro in the 69th minute of play forced Camolengue's goalkeeper Diogo Arantes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Arthur Queirós recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 70th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 73rd minute, Mário Mineiro made a precise shot to the right of Diogo Arantes. Camolengue's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 6-1. Diogo Arantes came out of the goal in the 79th minute to try and stop a shot by Borussia Dortumund 09's Mário Mineiro. But to his dismay, Mário Mineiro quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 7-1. Diogo Arantes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mário Mineiro in the 82nd minute of play. When the match had gone on for 86 minutes, Mário Mineiro put it in 8-1 from a short distance just to the right of Diogo Arantes. Borussia Dortumund 09's Gerrit Spijker proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 90th minute of the match, managed to save Borussia Dortumund 09 from getting a goal against them. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Mário Mineiro in the 94th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Diogo Arantes saved Camolengue from getting behind. There was no doubt that Borussia Dortumund 09 were the better team. Borussia Dortumund 09's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
