Maricoabo's Alexsandro Rossi got a good chance for a goal in the 3rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 16th minute Alexsandro Rossi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rui Medeiros saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Giuseppe Corrêa in the 18th minute of play forced Maricoabo's goalkeeper Sérgio Reis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 22 minutes into the match, Maricoabo's Sidnei Bertassi sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Rui Medeiros narrowly saved just below the crossbar. If Sidnei Bertassi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Anselmo Savion received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Sérgio Reis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Anselmo Savion in the 37th minute of play forced Maricoabo's goalkeeper Sérgio Reis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Sérgio Reis showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Giuseppe Corrêa in the 39th minute of the match. After some careless play in the Maricoabo defense, Anselmo Savion kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Sérgio Reis. The Maricoabo fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Sérgio Reis should have stopped the shot. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Alexsandro Rossi made a kick off. Sidnei Bertassi struck a weak shot in the 53rd minute. Rui Medeiros didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Maricoabo. F.C.Vestia's Rui Medeiros played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alexsandro Rossi in the 54th minute of play. A collision led to F.C.Vestia getting a freekick after 65 minutes play. Pedro Augusto Donato hit a great ball. Maricoabo's defense didn't have a chance, in the 70th minute, when Anselmo Savion scored to the left of an out of position Sérgio Reis, making the score, 0-3. Giuseppe Corrêa succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 0-4 in the 76th playminute. Sérgio Reis made an important save on a dangerous shot by Rômulo Luz in the 80th minute. Rui Medeiros made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sidnei Bertassi in the 84th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Maricoabo's zone, Anselmo Savion stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sérgio Reis came out of the goal and Anselmo Savion tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Anselmo Savion recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 92nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When the match was over F.C.Vestia could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Maricoabo throughout the match.
