Cabanha-JF's Elder Leal played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jairo Pinheiro in the 27th minute of play. The Geraldino FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. After some careless play in the Cabanha-JF defense, Luizinho Valle kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Elder Leal. The Cabanha-JF fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Elder Leal should have stopped the shot. Geraldino FC's Jairo Pinheiro got a good chance for a goal in the 46th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-3.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Eusébio Félix to strike the kick off in the second half. 57 minutes into the game, Geraldino FC's Luizinho Valle nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Elder Leal made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-5. After 61 played minutes Cabanha-JF got a freekick which was hit by Marcelinho Arantes. Luizinho Valle succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 0-6 in the 63rd playminute. After some fancy dribbling in the 67th minute, Jairo Pinheiro managed to get in a good position for a shot. Geraldino FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Jairo Pinheiro was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Elder Leal breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 68 played minutes Cabanha-JF got a freekick which was hit by Wilton Torres. Adilson Trigo charged in rather forcefully in the 69th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. Luizinho Valle had several of the Cabanha-JF's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 80 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 0-7 score and a disappointed Elder Leal as he didn't even see the shot coming. The Geraldino FC fans' excitement grew in the 84th match minute when Geraldino FC's Jairo Pinheiro looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-8 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. After 89 minutes, Luizinho Valle made it 0-9 with a short kick to the right side. Cabanha-JF's Elder Leal tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Luizinho Valles short, quick shot in the 94thth minute got Elder Leal to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. If Jairo Pinheiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Geraldino FC played a much better game than Cabanha-JF and deserved their victory. The Cabanha-JF players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
