Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Pontezinha's Jano Pitta started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After a defensive mix-up in Pontezinha's zone, Jairo Pinheiro stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Antônio Mangueira came out of the goal and Jairo Pinheiro tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Jairo Pinheiro kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Antônio Mangueira. That made the score 2-0 in the 17 minute of play. Geraldino FC's Jairo Pinheiro was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 20th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Pontezinha's zone, Luizinho Valle stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Antônio Mangueira came out of the goal and Luizinho Valle tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Antônio Mangueira showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jairo Pinheiro in the 25th minute of the match. In the 26th minute, Jairo Pinheiro fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Antônio Mangueira, passed just outside the right post. Luizinho Valle struck a weak shot in the 27th minute. Antônio Mangueira didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Geraldino FC. 28 minutes into the match, Pontezinha's goal looked a bit too open when Jairo Pinheiro came free, but Antônio Mangueira reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jairo Pinheiro in the 30th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Antônio Mangueira prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Luizinho Valle had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jairo Pinheiro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Antônio Mangueira having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Pontezinha's zone, Jairo Pinheiro stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Jairo Pinheiro stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Luizinho Valle's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Antônio Mangueira read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 53rd minute of play. If Luizinho Valle had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luizinho Valle in the 59th minute of play forced Pontezinha's goalkeeper Antônio Mangueira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Luiz Fábio Massa might have been able to make a better finish in the 63rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Matheus Quintal. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Luiz Fábio Massa ran back to his position shaking his head. Jairo Pinheiro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Antônio Mangueira having to interfere. Antônio Mangueira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Valdemar Rossi in the 71st minute of play. 74 minutes into the game, Jairo Pinheiro cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-0. Antônio Mangueira was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Antônio Mangueira stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Jairo Pinheiro's shot from short distance in the 79th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jairo Pinheiro in the 81st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Antônio Mangueira saved Pontezinha from getting behind. Pontezinha's Antônio Mangueira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jairo Pinheiro in the 82nd minute of play. A collision led to Pontezinha getting a freekick after 86 minutes play. Ricardinho Velasco hit a great ball. If Luizinho Valle had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 90th minute, Jano Pitta hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Antônio Mangueira showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jairo Pinheiro, who was totally free with the ball in the 91st minute. Antônio Mangueira took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jairo Pinheiro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Luizinho Valle sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jairo Pinheiro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Antônio Mangueira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the referee ended the match the Geraldino FC players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
