Curuzu FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Geovânio Leite was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. Geovânio Leite charged in rather forcefully in the 19th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Geovânio Leite the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Nicolas Martins sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Nicolas Martins fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Osmar de Brito having to interfere. The supporters of Curuzu FC booed when Irape was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ronaldo da Mata didn't get a good kick on the ball. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Nicolas Martins to make the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nicolas Martins in the 53rd minute of play forced Irape's goalkeeper Osmar de Brito to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Osmar de Brito was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Nicolas Martins sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. Emanuel Campidelis might have been able to make a better finish in the 84th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Osmar de Brito. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Emanuel Campidelis ran back to his position shaking his head. The audience was convinced that Nicolas Martins's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Osmar de Brito was relentless in the 84th minute of the game. If Emanuel Campidelis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
